Red Sparowes‘in ikinci albümü olan Every Red Heart Shines Toward the Red Sun, ilkinden daha kara bir havaya sahip. Albümün ismi 50′li yıllarda Çin’in Great Leap Forward adı verilen ekonomik planları doğrultunda kargaları, fareleri ve sinekleri ürünlere zarar veriyor diye öldürmesinin ardından geliyor. En başlarda bu plan başarılı gibi gözükse de, kargaların ölümünden sonra artan çekirge popülasyonu yüzünden sonraki yıllarda ülkede yaklaşık 30 milyon kişinin öldüğü kıtlık yaşanıyor.
